Whether upstairs or down, there was always something going. I think it is fairly common to lose some interest in Christmas after a death of a loved one, especially so close to Christmas. Though, I admit that having been through this a few more times than many people, I am not having that reaction this year. I suppose it has to do with a lot of factors, like support networks and such. It makes a great deal of difference. But hey, listen to whatever you want whenever you want. It is completely allowed. BoneyM is awesome Christmas music. I have them too. I don't know if I could handle christmas music for four months. Its bad enough listening to it in november. Don't get me wrong I love christmas music . I remember when my mother passed away just before christmas some years ago we weren't in the christmas mood. We got into the spirit of things in the middle of summer the following year. So here's Nat and I listening to christmas music in the middle of summer. I know alot a people thouht we were nuts .I had one of the first BoneyM christmas cassettes that had come out and thats what we listened to all summer. I still have that cassette some where. But this year is a bit different, and you know, it really changes the atmosphere in a home. I have blinking lights on a tree, and glittery snowflakes hanging from my ceiling -- it can't help but make a person cheery. But, having said that, if it doesn't work to do the decorating this year -- there really are so many other ways to bring Christmas into the home. You are a good example of finding humor in the difficulties.

I’ve had some conversations lately about charity and love and acceptance of life and people…and this is where I find my gratitude for those who are in my life now. We can forgive others, but we don’t have to keep them in our lives.

We can love others from a distance.

And we can keep in our life those people who are positive and upbeat even in the difficult moments. That’s why I love my Utah girls — plus the sarcasm…who can beat that! <3
